Mytilene Project (Part II)
The project will cover anthropological analysis of contemporary skeletal remains and postmortem data collection for purposes of positive identification. More contextual information will be provided to you upon signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) as requested by the University of Crete’s Ethics Committee and also to safeguard the dignity of the deceased. Those NDA documents will be provided to you in the following days and they will have to be signed prior to your arrival.
The finalized dates for this part of the project are July 13th – 31st 2026.
Working days will be Monday to Saturday, Sundays will be free.
The fee for your participation in this part of the project is 1500€ and it covers your accommodation while in Mytilene (Check in: July 12th, Check out: July 31st), as well as daily transportation to and from the site of the analysis.
All personal protective equipment and tools needed will also be provided by us. Flight costs must be covered by you.
Please be aware that accommodation will be shared and located in the city of Mytilene, within walking distance from the center. You will have access to a kitchen and washing machine at said accommodation.
The fees can be paid in installments – more instructions will be provided to you in the following days. Important dates to keep in mind are the following:
Booking fee to secure your spot: By the end of May, 500€ (non refundable)
Remaining fees: By June 20th, 1000€
