Study in Crete (Study Abroad Program at the University of Crete) – 2025

Description

The “Study in Crete (SiC)” study abroad program offers students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the civilization of ancient Greece and ancient Crete, in particular. The program combines theoretical instruction with field visits to archaeological sites, museums, and cultural centres. Students will delve into the history, archaeology, literature, and philosophy of ancient Greece, gaining valuable knowledge and developing critical thinking skills through lectures, seminars, and research activities. They will also profit from life and culture in Crete, an island with a rich history spanning from prehistoric times to the modern era, often labeled as the cradle of European civilization.

Prospective students may opt to attend either one or two semesters.
